COMMISSIONS

Custom painting(s) for your home or project. Lead time is generally 8-10 weeks from receipt of deposit.

Step One

—  Sizing  —
If you’re considering artwork for a particular space, feel free to send me an email with the size(s) you’re thinking of. I can provide insight on standard canvas size options as well as whether something custom would be better suited for your project. If you’re unsure of sizing but have the dimensions of the wall or furniture the painting will hang above, I’m also happy to suggest sizes that may work for the area.

Step Two

—  Inspiration, Composition & Palette —
It’s always helpful to have a few photos of previous paintings I’ve made that you’re drawn to. During the painting process, I will refer to these photos for composition, although no painting will come out exactly like another. If there are specific textiles, paint colors, etc. in your home you’d like me to reference for color, photos of these items or photos of the space are always helpful.

Step Three

—  Formal Quote Approval & Deposit —
Once we’ve discussed sizing, I’m able to provide pricing and a standard lead time for the work. If this is approved, I will send a formal quote and request a 50% deposit to get started on the commission. Commissions under $5k are requested to be paid in full.

Step Four

—  Progress Photos & Final Touches —
Once I’ve applied several layers to build up color on the canvas and I feel I’m in a good place for feedback, I’ll send progress photos for review. From there, we can adjust and add any final details before the painting is framed. If the frame color has not been decided, this is where we can talk about which color suits the painting and interiors the best.

Once the painting has been framed and photographed, the remaining balance will be requested prior to shipping.

Please keep in mind that the nature of my work is very fluid and organic. Although I can base a commission off of my previous paintings, no two painting will turn out exactly alike.

This is the beauty of original art.
